pic-nic

ohh, a fun pic-nic with our boys and peter's family. we were in bear valley, near colusa CA. i know that you don't know where it is. nobody does. my brother-in-law said that it was world famous for it's wild flowers. i think world famous was used pretty liberally. especially since people who lived in the surrounding area all thier lives had never heard about it. but, there you go.

therapy dog

a few weeks ago i puppy sat for my mother-in-law. she has a cute little poodle named annie with a mellow disposition. i knew right away that annie would be a great therapy dog! so, i called up my mother, who works as an aide in a special education classroom and asked if she would like me to bring annie to meet her students. she thought it was a good idea so we set a date and went at the end of that week. all of the students loved annie! they laughed as they petted her and fed her treats (one girl ate the treat herself, good thing it was only cheese). annie brought them so much joy and happiness. i really feel that i benifited the most from this day, i am so greatful for the chance to help these sweet students.

happy 1st birthday big man!!

on march 19th my baby boy turned one year old. as you can see, he really enjoyed his cake. his grandma jan gave him a sand box with purple sand, which he and his brother absolutely love!!

girlfriend

this is peter jon and his girlfriend, meliani. yep, i said girlfriend. she tells peter jon all the time "you're my boyfriend and i'm your girlfriend." on monday while playing at our house i overheard meli say "come on peter jon, lets go kiss in your bed." do i need to be worried? i told them that they can kiss each other hello and goodbye, but no kissing in bed!! today when i had all of the pre-school kids over here meli was soooo jealous of a different girl because peter jon was playing with the other girl. oh, man. and peter jon is totally mellow about the entire thing. he just says "ok, i'll be your boyfriend", "ok, i'll marry you", "sure, i'll go kiss in the bed". but he does get bored of playing house all the time, he always wants meli to play guns or swords with him. or cars and trains. i think it is super funny, i would never have had this problem in poway, almost all of the kids peter jons age are boys. i really hope that peter jon ends up being like his dad when it comes to girls and dating, shy. (unlike his mama)

welcome home!!

this is it!! as of today at 11am peter and i have purchased our first house!! it is a cute 3 bedroom 2 bath alpine style cottage (1675 sq ft) built in 1973. as you can see, it desperately needs to be updated. it has so much potential, a cute fireplace in the living room, a huge family room. in 3 years we are going to add on another room and bathroom upstairs. the backyard is pretty small, but i live really close to a park. i want to put yellow siding on the outside to contrast the red brick accent. oooh, i'll send pics of the inside once i'm done painting and decorating. YAY!!!!

What is his name? Peter Scott, he was called "Scottie" until he was 8 yrs old. I love the way his name sounds and so I often call him by both his names.





How long have you been married? 5 years in July, has it really been that long?

Who long did you date? 1 year, only 3 months of which was exclusive!

How old is he? 28, how old are you?



Who eats more sweets? Definitely me. I could eat a whole bag anything chocolate. I often lock myself in the bathroom in order to sneak sweets.



Who said I love you first? I did, he didn't until a couple months later, and when he did it was "on accident", but I wouldn't let him take it back (honestly he didn't really want to take it back!!)



Who is taller? He is by 3 inches, which means I can wear heals to my hearts content!



Who can sing better? Him, definitely. He has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard.



Who is smarter? He graduated college with a better GPA, but I think that we are both really smart.



Who does the laundry? It is a joint effort. He carries the laundry to and from the laundry room, I fold and put away.



Who mows the lawn? Starting Feb 19th, him!



Who pays the bills? He makes the money, I spend it, and that is the way God intended.



Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? We used to switch every few days to keep it interesting, but now he does.



Who cooks dinner? Me, but he can make a mean batch of cinnamon braids.



Who drives? Straight road: him. Winding road: me.



Who is more stubborn? My valentine is the most easy going guy I have ever met.

Who kissed who first? I kissed him for the first time while we were making dinner in my apt. We had been dating casually for a long time, and had just started dating exclusively.



Who asked who out first? He asked me on our first date, but only after he heard thru the grape vine that I was going to ask him out.



Who proposed? He did, in the most unromantic way possible. At first I thought he was breaking up with me.



Who has more siblings? He does, there are 2x's as many kids in his family.



Who wears the pants? I prefer the way my legs look in a tight skirt. He looks awful in skirts.
